Back in Auburn for the Weekend

I'm in Auburn, at my duplex, and it kind of feels like I'm camping out. Maybe more like the first night when you move in and everything isn't settled yet. I walked in and one of our chairs and our coffee table were missing. The room feels so empty. Then I checked out Rachel's room, which is now Sarah's room. That was certainly bizarre.

As weird as the duplex is, I just love Auburn in the summer. As soon as I drove into Auburn, it was obvious that the whole atmosphere is just different. Auburn just seems to get congested during the year. It feels more personal in the summer, like its all mine, along with the friends I choose to share it with. Its also more laid back. I went to dinner at Amsterdams with Rachel, her sister, and Claire around 6:30 and only had to wait about 15 minutes!

Being here makes me realize that I'm getting used to Scottsboro, because it doesn't feel like routine here anymore. These past few days at Scottsboro have begun to feel a little more routine. Maybe because we've begun to make progress in cleaning out the art studio. I've either spending the afternoon in Huntsville or working on the porch/art studio. So while I've still had a lot of free time, I've also had a big chunk of my day filled, which is always good.

I'm looking forward to the rest of my weekend: wedding/Coldplay! Right now, I'm having a hard time putting together sentences. Its way too late.

So good night.
